Hi guys. Here's my entry for the latest Quotes and Lyrics Craft Barn challenge. The options this time were silence or dazzle. I love the word dazzle and spent hours trawling the net for quotes and lyrics, which they're isn't a vast amount to choose from. In the end I went for the first I came across which are lyrics from Chicago the musical.
I have continued in my MDF book.
I've created a painted background, rubbing back with a wet wipe after I'd dried it, this was a happy accident, as I was attempting to go back to scratch as I wasn't too happy with the first look, but hey presto, I like it and continued on with a grid and diamond stencil. Then some printing using some lids and a plastic card. the stars are stamped onto the scrap paper from painting the mdf board. The flourish is stamped in paint here n there. There's some dots of black paint like little flowers and silver glitter as the lyrics are razzle dazzle after all. The large script star and writing has been done on some card that I brayered different lilacs onto. The lady coloured with alcohol pens and pencils and paint. Job done.
I was also inspired by Clare Lloyd over on the Paperartsy blog with her using paints with multiple stencils and stamps.
The colour scheme was made to fit in with the challenge at A Sprinkle of Imagination. Stamps and paints are all from Paperartsy.
It also fits nicely with this months challenge #12 at Country View Challenges blog , Painty pleasures
Also I had a problem linking the very first part of the craft barn challenge so do take a look at the post below to see it.
