Summer kraft flower

Here is two pieces inspired by Carol Quance who has been showcasing her projects over on the Paper Artsy Blog. From Carol I took the colours, grunge paste through stencil, gold embossing, crackle, altered buttons and a tag. I also wanted to enter it into the challenges below, so kept these in mind whilst making it. I also wanted to try Leandra's "corner,corner,side technique" and it really does work, do check out the You Tube video linked on the PA blog.
The flower is made using Kraft Glassine paper,my new purchase and first use, Paper Artsy hotpicks flower stamps, also new and their first outing, yellow and gold super fine WOW Embossing Powder. Stems and leaves sticking tiny pieces of glassine paper onto sand paper and inking over the top and adding Rock Candy Crackle paint.
The bird is also Paperartsy and I stamped across some coloured kitchen roll and heat embossed with WOW powder before pleating and sticking to both pieces.
