Visible Image dt Time to Reflect

Happy New Year friends. I do sincerely wish that 2013 brings you what you need. 2012 was a great crafting year for me. I won round 2 and was shortlisted for round 4 in the Craft Stamper Magazine Competition and recently was runner up in the Card Designer of Year for Simply Cards & Papercraft magazine as well as winning various challenges and I'm hoping my aspirations for my crafting will come to fruition in 2013.

Today we have the new challenge launched at Visible Image with the theme of..Time To Reflect. There's fabulous inspiration from the design team, using stamps available from Visible Image. So do come over, say hello and enter to be in with a chance to win.

My sample today is a box showcasing Edward and Time After Time stamp sets. The background is made by laying strips of masking tape togather, rubbing over with dye inks then stamping over the top using Time After Time stamps, then tearing into pieces and sticking randomly to a piece of card. Then using the cracked stamp to heat emboss with platnum powder then cut into the panel pieces and edges distressed. I have stamped the numbers, watch and sentiment onto card that I had collaged with torn book pages and painted with a wash of gesso. I used glossy accents on te watch face. The lock and keys are made by using Sizzix die with card I had triple embossed and then cracked after die cutting. A chain links the pocket watch and keys. Edward is coloured using pro markers.

We also pay a quick visit and catch up with Edward in part 3 of my story.
catch up

Edward & Isabella PART 3
Edward has been distracted with his thoughts lately. Thoughts of Isabella. He hasn't noticed his sister Molly's recent increased interest in his activities. Edward has found himself searching for situations in which he would get to see Isabella. At first, he didn't realise he was doing this or why, but when he did, he seemed to increase his efforts further. When on his own, Edward felt alone and confused somewhat. What were these feelings for this girl, who once he would have looked down on? Why her? Could it be just because she had shown an interest in him? Was it just intrigue on his part? Surely, someone of his standing and place in society couldn't fall in love with someone like Isabella? Or was it he 'shouldn't' fall in love with Isabella. For Edward knew his family would never approve of such a match. Edward needed advice, but for whom should he turn to? He had friends at the gentleman's club he frequented, or rather acquaintances. There must be someone he knew that would listen and offer advice, someone that didn't adhere to the formalities that society and social status demanded? Then Edward smiled to himself, Edgar, that's who.
Who is Edgar, what part does he play within Edward's life? Come and read part 4 when we shall meet Edgar.

There are still some stamps left in the Visible Image sale, so don't miss out and can't wait to see your entries in the Time To Reflect challenge
PSSSTTTTT.....do keep looking as there are two brand new characters from Visible Image being launched very soon.
Happy Crafting
Luv Dawn
