Tando creative classes challenge

Here is a piece I made based on a collaboration of techniques shown by Karen and Carol at tando creative online challenges that was in celebration of tando's 3rd birthday. I've followed techniques shown of blinging up chipboard pieces, adding detail using pens to chipboard pieces that you've coloured yourself, highlighting the embossing as on carol's tutorial and then embossing chipboard and painting with acrylic paints, stamping and then over stamping and clear embossing.
Everything except the flowers has been die cut from chipboard using sizzix big shot pro and bigz dies  as I don't have many pre made ones, but I soon will be stocking up as I'm so loving the products I now know about by tando creative. The main background is made using acrylic paints and a brayer with gesso. The flowers I made from punched shapes. A few pearl buttons and crystal pins and a charm to decorate. I hope you like it, and I'm entering it here.

Happy crafting

  5. Dawn this is absolutely gorgeous, so sweet & I love your handmade flowers :)
Sorry it's taken me a while to get back to you hun, I stupidly published your comments and couldn't find them lol.
In answer to your questions I spend hours on one card, the colouring alone takes me more than an hour & I'm probably a bit slower than most at making them because of my shoulder injury.
After I have published my cards some are donated to my local hospice to sell or sold to friends and family, some are for orders, some I make with particular people in mind for me to give them and I keep trying to build up a little stash with the intention of either opening an Etsy store or selling on eBay.
I buy my flowers either from Wild Orchid Crafts (I love their vintage coloured roses), Live & Love Crafts & Joanna Sheen both sell my favourite Kort & Godt flowers & Simon Says Stamp & The Craftz Boutique have a huge slection of Prima flowers. I am a real hoarder of flowers, Prima I find are the most expensive probably Wild Orchid are the cheapest.
I hope this helps hun :)
    hugs Mandy xx
