THAT CRAFT PLACE CHALLENGE 6 THEME...LOVE IS ALL AROUND
Here is one of my design team samples for the new challenge at That Craft Place. This time it was my turn to choose the theme and well with it being Valentines and me being an ole romantic it fitted perfectly.
This is the last challenge for a few weeks, as it is being re launched. So get entering and win some fabulous blog candy.
I chose to use a set of stamps from Lisa at That Craft Place from one of my fave companies, Chocolate Baroque
This card has had many different backgrounds made as I just couldn't get it quite right, my first idea was to make a circle out of stamped hearts, cut round the shape and have the flourish hearts in the middle, but no matter what colour I made up it just didn't seem quite right. So in the end I used DI Victorian Velvet, Milled Lavender and used the milled lavender re inker to swipe across in places to deepen colour. Then I used scissors and an emery board to rub along the edges and the emery board across the whole surface. The hearts were heat embossed with black glitter powder onto card coloured with frost and sage glimmer mists, then a white gel pen and water brush to add highlights. Chipboard letters coated with white acrylic paint. then inked with glimmer mists and black ink pad, the rose made up of bias binding coloured with co ordinating Distress Stains and rolled into flower, attached on top of some small hearts stamped, heat embossed and cut out.
Good Luck to everyone that enters.....
