bookmark swap

Just a quick blog post for tonight, here's the bookmark I made for Tracy's Bookmark Swap done within my group. The theme is CELEBRATION, and to me celebration brings to mind bright colours. So that's what I did, using a Kaleidacolour Pastel inkpad and brayer, and Big N Juicy Waterfall inkpad for the torn accents. A bit of stamping, some white acrylic paint applied with a plastic card, some crackle accents painted on small areas to add some texture and black edges, job done.
Whilst I was playing I got out the floor polish and did some caught in crystal pieces, with and without acetate and also had a go at using the floor polish liquid with re-inkers on kitchen roll and plain copier paper, the paper produced a leather effect feel and look, different. I seem to have a lot of pieces waiting to be made into something, I even had a go at making my own handmade paper using some stuff out a pot, will blog that another time.
Oh and also, heating snowcap alcohol ink is brilliant, it comes up in tiny bubbles and leaves the surface shiny.
I have a big job to do this week, my wonderful Mum has bought me lots of storage box to help me get straight with my craft stash, thanks Mum, you're a star. Love ya
I,ve also been exploring other blogs, and wow what a wonderful world of inspiration, reminds me of us girls and knickers....so many to choose from, and some that you just love to wear time and time again.
Hope you all have a good week and I'll catch up with you soon.
luv dawn
