Hi crafty friends, here I am sharing a canvas I've made for our topic, Down Our Road, at The Craft Barn Blog this week.
I've had this idea in my crafty imagination for a while and this was the perfect opportunity to make it real. You can see my step by step tutorial by visiting The Craft Barn Blog HERE
I wanted to create a bright, bold and fun canvas that represented my Family and our Home. Hence my canvas title. Simple and full of meaning. My family is my all and seeing as there's never a dull day this canvas idea seemed to fit the story behind it.
The basic make up is as follows; an 8x10 inch canvas board covered with pieces of book pages, washi tape, tissue paper, grunge paste spread here and there and through Imagination Crafts Honeycomb stencil.
Then sprayed with Decoart Media Misters and painted with Fresco Finish Paints and Decoart Media Satin Varnish to make a background scene.
I've added embossing pastes with TCW Art is stencil and some lids. some stamping (with Kaisercraft Texture stamps) to the background.
My scene is made up of paper piecing PaperArtsy JOFY Stamps and a fence made from coffee stirrers. ( I do get strange looks picking up a few stirrers for just two coffees. Lol) I've also used cosmic shimmer iced snow, antiquing cream, Stazon inks, crackle paint and coloured pencils.
I honestly enjoyed making this and hope this shows through the finished piece.
I'd love your comments and appreciate them. So thank you in advance.
I'm entering this into the following five challenges;
