TCB Deco Mache Pencil Case

Greetings and Salutations,
This week at The Craft Barn Blog we are sharing our crafty makes using Deco Mache papers. I must say since I first used them a year ago, I'm still loving them.
I've altered a papier mache pencil case that you can buy from The Craft Barn and they're inexpensive and easy to alter with any medium you fancy using.
I've started by adding texture with Grunge Paste through a Tando Harlequin stencil before going on to covering with the Deco Mache papers. The papers made it easy to cover and mold into the grunge paste detail.
I've used Fresco Finish paints and sponged around the edges and highlighted the texture with Lemon Yellow Liquid Pearls, smeared on with a finger. I'll be trying this again, it gives a different look to gilding wax, almost a soft sheen. Try it, see what you think.
This pencil case has been given some feet. A very technical make in itself,  (joking) using rolled up paper and glue.
A die cut butterfly finishes it off as a simple embellishment.
You can see full details and pictures of how I made this over on The Craft Barn Blog. See you there and please if you will, leave us a comment, we do enjoy reading them.

Bye for now
Happy crafting
