Hello, I shall forewarn you now, this post is picture heavy. I thought rather than waffle on and on I'd show you in pictures what I've made.
Stampotique designers challenge #116 challenged us to try something new. So here it is. I've tried a fair few new things all in one piece. Making a cover for my little book of challenges.
1. Using cotton wool with modelling paste and gesso.(my own idea) messy and fun.
2. Colouring with pan pastels then dipping into white distress stain (courtesy of France Papillon)
3. Using wire to create a flower and filled with glossy accents. (Trish latimer in craft stamper magazine) my twist was to shape/bend petals before complete set
4. Painting chipboard with metallic acrylics then using alcohol inks on top (reminded by crafty friend Tracy Jones)
5.making a 3d flower from my favourite stampotique flower stamp.
Then seeing the Tando Creative Challenges September Let's Leaf it I decided to use this as another prompt for my page. I've used Tando Creative chipboard flourish. FL5
I love Tando products in that they stand up to any amount of altering.
Other items used are blue burlap, Cheery Lynn French Pastry die, spellbinders die cut, buttons, wire, TH Rock Candy crackle paint.
White tissue paper, painted and stamped onto.
Black and purple stazon ink used to stamp flowers and same stamp onto chipboard shapes
I'd like to also enter this into
(Stamp onto anything other than paper)
(My own style, lots of it and lots of colour and making my own embellishments.)

all experiments dry. what I like is how it holds its shape inc peaks |

this shows gesso and wool half spread thick n smooth which I've used a lid to push in wet mix the other spread thin n smooth |

ps..a little note about our kittens, at the moment they are being cared for by a lovely lady as Oscar and Millie became very poorly and even though following vets advice and nursing them we weren't getting results. Oscar should be home in a couple of days, but sadly Millie is not doing so well and is going to a specialist vets tomorrow, as its baffling all concerned . Fingers crossed they'll both be home soon.
Happy crafting and don't forget the Imagination Crafts Butterfly challenge
