Imagination Crafts Dt Butterflies

Good morning, I hope the sun shines wherever you are. We've had a busy week nursing our two kittens who have been very poorly. They're improving slowly. I can't thank the Cats Protection League enough for all their help and advice. They're still as cute as ever, Millie being small and Oscar being nearly twice her size they make a right funny duo.
Anyway onto today's midway challenge reminder for Imagination Crafts Challenge Blog. The theme this month is Butterfly Flutterby. Use any product from Imagination Crafts and you could win yourself a £40 prize voucher to spend with them. All other entries are eligible for our top 3.
For my make here's what I used;
Imagination Crafts products,
Butterfly Flight Stencil
Black stencil paint
Clear sparkle medium
Blues and purple mica powders
Magi Blend
Other stash used
Alcohol inks
Glossy card
White gesso
Black gesso
Corrugated card recycled packaging
White enamel accents
Silver stickles (I know have the detail sparkle medium)
I cut my corrugated card to 6x6 inches, tore off some of the top layer, painted a few coats of white gesso. When dry I mixed some magi blend and mica powders and picked the colours up with a small brush and flicked it all over. When dry I did the same with black gesso and the edges. Final layer was some clear sparkle medium scraped over random areas and left to dry.
Next up I put alcohol inks and blending solution onto craft sheet and pressed my glossy card into it, repeated til I got something I liked.
Then I used the IC stencil paint through the IC Butterfly Flight stencil. When dry dotted the enamel accents around and dotted teeny dots of silver glitter glue on top of these.
For the hanging these are pipe cleaners coloured with a bit of all the above, left to dry then twisted together through two eyelets at the top.
I hope you like it and it encourages you to play with all your different mediums as often what can be done with one can often be done with another and produce different effects. Like the mica splatters.
Do come and see us over at Imagination crafts Challenge blog.
Happy crafting
Luv dawn
