Night delight and alpha

Back again with my second entry for the current letter at The Craft Barn Alpha Challenge. Our letter this time is D. Here I've chosen the word doodle. I took the opportunity to practise my Zentangle. I used some Craftwork Cards mini templates for the butterflies and flowers. Then I doodled away with various size tip pens and a bit of pencil shading at the end. Took a while to do and I did enjoy it.
If you've not tried Zentangle, have a go.
Last night my Mum said there was to be a meteor shower, and where we are in the wonderful Welsh country is ideal to see it. It was cloudy so not expecting much as last year I didn't see any. I'm there looking up stretching my head further back  to see as much sky as possible til I almost ended up flat on it,  Wow was I in for a surprise. I saw my first ever shooting star. Not just one either I saw eight in total and three were really big ,bright and trailed the most wondrous lights. I was in awe and very impressed that I'd witnessed something so awesome. Apparently  some of the meteor shower wouldn't be seen the like of for another 200 years. Yes I made a wish or two. Fingers crossed could do with a bit of good luck for a change. Still outside I heard a scuffling noise and thought something was trying to scramble up the decking. Expecting something to jump out at me any moment I frantically searched my pockets for my phone having a torch on it. Instead of just going inside. So flashlight on I was very brave and went to investigate. Now what did I find? A cute little hedgehog. Lol. I honestly thought the amount of noise warranted something much bigger. I felt rather silly. It was nice to watch our night time visitor, but bed was calling and it was cold, so I bid it goodnight and went inside.
A marvellous end to our holiday as tomorrow we head home as long as the RAC takes us.
Happy Crafting
Luv dawn

  3. Such a great post! The meteor shower sounds amazing - wish I could have seen it. We once had a hedgehog pair under our compost heap and they used to come out and lap up cat food, so adorable. Your pages are also so lovely. Julie Ann xx

  9. I love your zentagling! I really must have a go at this, though I think I would be rubbish.
Hedgehogs are so noisy, especially when amorous if you know what I mean!
