Good Morning crafty friends. Fancy a new challenge? Well today sees the launch of a brand sparkling new challenge blog, Imagination Crafts Challenge Blog which I have the pleasure of being on the design team. It's a monthly challenge with an amazing prize for the winner of £40 to spend at Imagination Crafts, who are kindly sponsoring each month. We're starting off with the theme of Anything Goes. Please do read the challenge rules, not many I promise. So do come on over and visit us and we can't wait to see your entries.
Here is my sample for July.
Here is my sample for July.
I've made a bright coloured background using a marbling technique with alcohol inks and water. This was so much fun to do.
Using Imagination Crafts Butterfly Flourish Stencil I've used versamark through it and sprinkled on sticky embossing powder and heated.
Then I've gone over with Gilding Flakes and outlined with a silver Sharpie pen.
The panel is edged with silver WOW embossing powder then layered onto various colour card.
The Butterflies are made using clear Sparkle Medium and also some sparkle medium mixed with Imagination crafts mica powders, spread through the Butterflies on the stencil onto clear packaging and left to dry thoroughly then peeled off the sheet carefully and glued on.
I'm genuinely impressed with the Sparkle Medium, so full of sparkle and when dry there's no shrinkage of the shape and its so easy to use.
Right, my tag. Using another marbled piece, I've used IC Honeycomb Stencil with coloured paste. This time I have used the same Butterfly Flourish Stencil to draw through onto card I'd coloured. Then simply cut out the shapes I wanted and glued to the tag.
Then layered onto more coloured card, ribbon to finish my tag.
