Washi Stand Inspired by PA

Hiya, well after I'd made the washi tapes, inspired by Darcy Wilkinson over on the Paper Artsy Blog, Darcy made a display case, now I've no reels so had a think of how I could display and store my handmade tapes. I came up with this. It all started as a broken toy that Katie got for her birthday and a spare play doh tub. So thank you Katie. I've put a photo of her with the toy before her brothers got hold of it. Lol. I wrapped the stick with masking tape and painted with black gesso then wedged into the pot also painted black gesso and filled with air dry clay and left it to dry. Once dry I rubbed over some Creative Expressions gilding wax in Pewter and glued some buttons to the top for decoration. All left to do was attach and roll around my tapes.
Thanks for looking.
I would like to enter this into the following:

  5. Yep! in a crafter's house, if it's not nailed down it might just get up-cycled even the kids' toys! Great idea.
