Something different play time

Here's something I made to go with some challenges, squares at the Octopode Factory, squares and colour inspiration at The Play Date Cafe challenge 154 birthday celebrations. Background made with distress inks and sprayed with Dettol, then sponged through crafters workshop diamond mask, gesso spread through another mask, then stamped squares and edges with a clarity stamp mistletoe in white then black ink. Hand drawn quirky image, love the big hair, and bakers twine and handmade square buttons coated in crackle accents.
I enjoyed just playing and have been making a few pieces lately that is just creating layers through inks, masks, water, sprays, gesso, paints, stamps whilst keeping the piece just one actual layer. Also I've then been adding dimensional pieces that blend in and make up part of the background, so I've got the basis of a few projects ready to go.
So get out the inks and any stamps you fancy and see what you come up with. Even draw your own image, if you start off wanting a strange figure, then however it turns out will be just how you wanted it too. Do let me know if you have a go, include a link to show me so I can hop over and take a look.
Happy crafting
Luv dawn
