Autumn Tagnet melting crayons

Hi all. Here's a tagnet I've made with some challenges in mind. It's been a while since I made one and I do love making them. For those wondering what a tagnet is, it's basically a tag with a peg on top that has a magnet attached to the back. I tend to use my sizzix originals tag die to make them and I started off with chipboard, this was from a recycled cardboard envelope I received some new masks in. so I can give it a good battering with paints n inks etc.
I saw a project on Tando tutorials blog using melted wax crayons and been wanting to try it for a while, so I did.
Firstly cheap crayons melt thinner, I ended up borrowing Katie's Crayola crayons. Sorry Katie, I'll buy you some more. Lol
I've created a crackle background using acrylic paints and eco green glue, this is the best I have found for this technique and have tried many different glues. This one works every time, others have been hit n miss. Then stamped Visible Image grunge dots stamp and Adirondack cranberry ink randomly, second generation stamping. Then stamped with Visible Image grunge flourish stamp and embossed with Tim Holtz distress powders and then various distress inks to colour the tag more. I've glued on some gold beads with cosmic shimmer pva glue, again this is one amazing and versatile glue, it has glued everything I've tried. Love the stuff and fast drying too.
Now my melted crayon butterflies, die cut chipboard using movers n shapers die and then covered with wax crayon bits and melted with heat tool building layers til happy. I did try melting it first n dipping the shape in, but it seemed to run off and not get what I was after. Any tips gratefully received.
Then I patted on some gloss multi medium to give shine n texture to match my flower.
This was made using Tim Holtz tattered florals die. A creative expressions leaf stamped onto paper coloured with left over acrylic paint that I just smeared on the paper n dried.
The peg was wiped over with edge of ink pads and glue dotted over and gold embossing powder sprinkled on before decorating and beads glued to sides.
So lots of different techniques and messy play for me, which is what I enjoy the most. I do experiment throughout and quite a few things don't get used but kept for another project. I have a basket full of painty, inky, sprayed pieces, and come in handy. And if it don't work at all, it finds the bin, eventually.
I've put a few pictures showing step by step of crackle technique.
If you've made it to here, congratulations, I know a long explanation.
