Hello fellow crafty friends, my card I'm showing today has a little story attached.
The current challenge at Kraftin Kimmie challenge is Under the sea.
Now I really wanted to take part as any excuse to play with their stamps, and I'm on it. However, I didn't have any Kraftin Kimmie stamps suitable except a couple small pirates, but didn't want to drown the poor little things.
So the cogs start grinding and getting up to speed, I started to think how could I incorporate a stamp I do have into the theme. And given creative license is all about freedom to create and imagination,
this is what I came up with.
My magical Tabitha (who my Samuel has decided is a magical ballerina witch), has explored so many different lands that she doesn't know where to go next. After lots of thought, she realised she had never been under the sea. Tabitha imagined all the marvellous things she might see and got to work writing a special spell.
With her magic wand, she conjured up her very own bubble to take her there. Her bubble sparkling as it travelled through the water.
Giving her so many ideas and inspiration to put in her art journal on her return home, that before she did she just had to to go crafty stash shopping. And is planning her next trip, outta space perhaps?
Here's what Tabitha used and how she made her first piece to journal her adventure.
Brayered glossy card with waterfall big n juicy inkpad, splattered with water and blotted off. Acrylic paint and gesso stamped using various bottle tops.
Sea grasses stamped onto book pages and painted with cosmic shimmer drawing inks then glued to bottom corner.
Stamped Tabitha onto centura pearl cardstock and water coloured with distress inks and affixed to scene using foam pads.
Her bubble is acetate that is pushed through two long slits either side of Tabitha on the sea scene, raised in the middle and stuck to the back of card finally decorated with glitter glue to mimic Tabitha's magic.
I do hope you like my card, given imagination you really can make something to fit a theme you may think you've nothing to use.
Happy crafting
Luv Dawn
