Hello everyone, it's time for a new challenge over at that craft place. It's a great challenge to enjoy, the theme this time is Trees and Nature.
that craft place challenge 12 trees n nature here
The design team are really looking forward to seeing all the entries and how you interpret the theme.
There's a fabulous prize for the winner sponsored by indigoblu
For my design team card I chose to use the nature 1 stamp set from indigoblu. Lisa at That Craft Place stocks lots of their stamps and products as well as lots more delicious crafty stash.

I have used this stamp set lots, it's one of those sets that lends itself perfectly to a multitude of different techniques.
It's 8x8 in size. I used various bundled sage, crushed olive and peeled paint distress inks to colour the grass area using torn paper as masks. For the sky I used lemonade, mustard seed, dried marigold. Spiced marmalade, worn lipstick, tumbled glass, broken China and chipped sapphire distress inks. I applied all the colours with the blending tool and foam.
The grass was repeat stamped in forest moss distress ink, the tree stamped in gathered twigs di and to get a reverse image of the tree I inked up the stamps, rolled a brayer over it then transferred the image to my scene. The little birds are one tiny part of the tree stamp that I cut away so could use it multiple times, as often at sunset birds are in abundance at this time of day.
The sentiment is stamped with black memento.
I hope you like my take on the theme and enjoy making your own for the challenge which is on til Saturday 9th June 2012.
The winner and top 3 from our last challenge will be announced 3rd June.
Happy crafting
Luv dawn

top tip Tuesday dig out the old
the old element used on my card is the distress inks, the broken china & tumbled glass were among the first I bought years ago
my top tip...want acrylic paint to match distress ink, press ink pad few times onto craft mat and a splodge of white paint and mix together, I prefer to use a bit of cut n dry foam to mix them
