We also now have a group on Facebook, so do come and join us, share  your makes and enjoy crafty chat and see latest products and special offers.
This is quite long but wanted to explain it fully.
For my creation I decided to make something a little different, I'd been wanting to use my Kanban steampunk and men's style stamps and so set about making a pennant and using elements from the goody bag Lisa sent me.
I cut three triangle shapes the same size, one from light blue card for front, one from cream card for back and chipboard for middle layer.
For the blue piece I stamped the chain along the top 3 times, curving the stamp on my block first, then randomly stamped with tea dye and vintage photo distress inks using second generation technique for some so it didn't over power the design and then inked the edges with antique linen and tea dye di.
Using dark blue core dinations I punched a border using Fiskars threading water punch, sanded over to distress it and used tape to stick it to the chipboard layer. Carefully lining it up and cutting a small piece for the bottom point. I took some grosgrain cream ribbon, stained with antique linen distress stain and stamped the Roman numeral stamp. I stamped it in memento as I wanted a blended look rather than clear image that stazon would do.
I wrapped two pieces of this around the blue layer towards bottom and stuck two small pieces on each top side. The blue piece was stuck to the middle layer then this stuck to cream back layer using extra strong tape. Punched two holes for eyelets for decoration.
The focal piece is based on Time flies, this is what came to mind when lookin at my stamps and knew what I wanted to do with them straight away. The clock layers were stamped and embossed on pattern paper and core dinations card, the clock hands stamped and heat embossed onto acetate. The wings are one stamp, done once on pattern paper and once onto acetate and then both cut in half and glued the two layers together where they'd been cut. This was then pieced together as shown using foam pads for dimension.
The embellishments all got the Dawn treatment. The brad was silver pastel pattern on it. I coloured it using gold permanent marker and glued on a punched square of pattern paper. The gold chain was too bright a gold so I brushed on some glue n seal from Ranger and heat embossed it with gold wow powders. The hanger was a charity shop find necklace, which I dabbed blue alcohol inks on and disuse stain in tea dye. Two tickets stamped again from kanban stapled with my Tim Holtz tiny attacher then glued to the hanger which I glued to the back of the pennant.
I hope you like my piece, I really enjoyed making it.
Now hop on over to the challenge and I look forward to seeing your entries. Click on the names in the text and it's linked straight to everything.
Many thanks and happy crafting
Luv dawn
