Hello everyone. I hope you're all enjoying the Easter Holidays. It's certainly busy here with the boys on school holidays and noisy. I'm going to have to try and fit in a trip to the hairdressers as Miss Katie has a new favourite trick, pulling me by the hair, and she is one very strong little girl and I'm gonna end up bald at this rate.
Today I'm sharing some of my messy play creations. I'd seen an article using Gesso and a brayer to build up layers with acrylic paint and just had to have a go. This was my first attempt. Less is definately more when it comes to the amount of Gesso on your brayer, but be prepared for the clean up, as Gesso doesn't wash off that easy. The flower is Spellbinders die cuts, painted and cut into from the edge towards the middle, then moulded the "petals". The butterfly is die cut from the packaging that came in a box of biscuits, the background stamp is from Tim Holtz. Some lace and pearls on head pins finish off the piece.
I made this TAGNET originally for Hels Sheridan's Sunday Challenge, but never got around to entering it, but had fun making it. Better buy some more pegs so can make some more TAGNETS.Don't forget the TWINCHIE CHALLENGE closes Sunday 8th April 9pm. Please upload your twinchies to the challenge gallery on the main website.
Bye for now, Love Dawn
