Welcome to my Blog

Hellooooo, and welcome to my blog. I've always liked the idea of having one, and now I do. Yey!!!!!
I have two main passions in life; the first being my wonderful Family of whom I am extremely proud of, the second is Crafting.
I am a stay at home mum since my health problems hit me and have the support of my amazing Partner David. Our children have a keen talent for crafting too, it's great to sit and craft together, including our one year old, Katie who can already hold a pencil.
My main crafting area is Cardmaking and anything papercraft. I love rubber stamping and using various techniques and mediums. Also, I like to alter anything and everything, stay still in my house and you're likely to be painted or have something stuck to you.Oh and making a mess is a consequential part of my creative makes.
I currently make samples for Deco Designs and have done other sample making, show prep and demonstrating in the past.
I run Dawn's Card Swap Group, which started off on Facebook and is also now online with its own website. Through this group I have made many new friends as have they.
Through my blog I hope to share my designs and makes and chat about my life's thoughts and happenings.
Some of you will know about my day to day ramblings on my Facebook group, anything from the multiple use of the Bra (which I will be re visiting as the discussion was rather entertaining) to Do animals get bored? Oh and not forgetting my poor bottom, from burning it to catching it on the basket. lol
For my first post I'm sharing a couple of my favourite cards.
The Butterfly Card everything started with plain white card and paper, coloured with various mica sprays, distress inks, pro markers and acrylic paints. I used creative expressions crackle and script background stamps and Chocolate Baroque for the butterfly. All the flowers are all handmade.
The Second card uses Tatty Button Toadstool stamp, mask put through Big Shot to emboss and is coloured using distress inks and Aqua Markers. The binding was dyed using cooled tea.
Thank you so much for visting and reading my blog.
 Luv Dawn x x x
